Bike & Yacht Croatian Islands

Explore the beautiful islands of Croatia from the comfort of a luxury yacht.

Most point-to-point bicycle tours involve that daily nuisance of packing and repacking your bag to pop in the van. But that’s not the case on this island tour. Instead, enjoy your own cabin, leave your bed as unmade as your cabin mate, and roll back in at the end of another splendid day on two wheels after availing yourself of the comforts of a well-stocked bar and today’s catch.

A cycle tour to beat all other road bike tours; this trip combines just the right mix of the sweaty cycling fun ‘real’ cyclists enjoy and combines it with the utmost in luxury. This is what your accommodation looks like …

Bike & Yacht

A spectacular and challenging 7-day tour (with 6 days of cycling) from Split to the ‘Adriatic Pearl’ of Dubrovnik.

6 days of cycling - Approximately 70 Kilometres and 1200 Metres of climbing per day

Led by an experienced skipper and supported by his crew, your floating home allows you to take a unique road cycle tour of the Croatian islands, allowing you to experience the fantastic sea views without the heavier traffic of the mainland coastal road.

It takes in some tough climbs and challenging descents with breath-taking sea views on every ride. This tour has been designed with the discerning ‘active’ road cyclist in mind who wants to ride their bike every day whilst leisurely enjoying more than a bit of luxury on the kind of holiday that combines a wonderful hobby with that little bit of decadence you deserve.

Tour Dates:

  • 16th Sep to 23rd Sep
  • 24th Sep to 1st Oct 2023
Tour map

Itinerary

The tour is mostly on quiet island roads with a small number of joining sections on busier roads. Some cycling in towns and cities is necessary. Roads are generally well surfaced and suitable for road bike tires of 25 mm or more. We recommend a good quality and well-fitted road bike with dropped handlebars. If bringing your bike in a box, we can remove it and return it to you at the end of the tour.

This is a tour with a significant amount of climbing throughout each day but is suitable for the Sunday Club Rider with a moderate amount of training in the 2 or 3 months leading up to it.

Please note that the boat motors between the islands generally in the early hours of the morning before you awake.

The route is very scenic with the following itinerary (note figures may differ slightly):

  • Day One: Arrival in Split on the Croatian mainland and prepare
  • Day Two: Cycle Brac island
  • Day Three: Cycle Hvar island
  • Day Four: Cycle Vis island
  • Day Five: Cycle Korcula island
  • Day Six: Cycle Peljesac peninsula and Miljet Island
  • Day Seven: Cycle Peljesac peninsula with a finish in Slano Harbour
  • Day Eight: Sail into Dubrovnik for departure

Other

Please contact us if you have other travel requirements you wish to discuss and we will do our best to assist!

Departing at the End

The tour finishes with a stunning ride on the Peljesac peninsula followed by a 'Captain's Dinner' on our yacht which by now will feel like home. We spend the night on the boat and finish with a beautiful, relaxing sail into the unique setting of the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. Our arrival time in Dubrovnik is approximately 10am (TBC). This ends our wonderful tour and you will then travel on as per your arrangements. We can provide transfers to Dubrovnik Airport.
Our next tour of the Islands is in September 2023. Our spacious yacht, a beautiful wooden gulet, accommodates only 14, including your guide(s) which makes for a very comfortable tour.

We COULD have offered a bigger boat but we found that those ones lost the luxurious charm of our ‘Linda’ with her dedicated Skipper, Chef, Waiter and Seaman. Together with your Tour Guide our aim is to make you feel well looked after from the minute you step aboard until we drop you and your bike safely back to the airport.

Post COVID, Croatia’s popularity as a holiday destination has soared and Sailing tours away from the madding crowd in particular. The small number of people on this spacious yacht make this a safe, pleasurable and luxurious environment outdoors where you can relax aboard and ride your bike on several different islands. A deposit of £250 will secure your place.

We recommend booking early for this tour to avoid disappointment.
